It may not be just the cold and antibiotics. For some of us, tolerance becomes more of a choice as we get older, rather than something we might've felt we owed to society as civil citizens. We pay the dues life hands out to us, regardless of the price. In return, we earn the right to decide what and how much we'll tolerate of others. I'm obviously crispier around the edges than you are. I've seriously narrowed my boundaries, and they may be narrowed even farther on down the road. Based on what I've paid in dues, I'm tired of giving an inch here and there. We become the people we are due to the lives we've lived. So cheer up. Ya never know what's on the menu for tomorrow. Feeling a bit cranky, are ya? It may not be just the cold and antibiotics. You're important to a lot of people and such, your birthday is important to them. Honestly, making it through another year is sometimes a struggle. You should treat yourself with something nice. Yesterday was my mothers birthday, and my dads birthday is the same as yours. Weird how they are all close like that. They are coupled together with mothers day and fathers day too. Sheesh! Still, you can’t blame people for wanting to make a big day out of it. You’re important to a lot of people and such, your birthday is important to them.

You do a lot for them and I'm sure they notice and are very grateful. Just sometimes we get into bad habits of taking things for granted. If you're not going to ask them to help around the house they aren't going to do it. It's not that they don't care or don't love you. They need to know how you feel. Your feelings count just as much as they do. You need to stop putting their feelings ahead of yours all the time. You deserve to have some help cleaning.
